Napoleon chose the bee as his emblem for their industrious & military-like efficiency.

This handmade lightweight yet detailed brass bee brooch is the small (worker bee) and spans 3.6cm x 2.9cm. Gold tone pin. 

With age the raw brass will gain a lovely patina, but if you want to shiny things up, try dipping the bee in fresh lemon juice for a minute, rinse with cold water and pat dry with a clean cotton cloth.
